Paris

The time I have been lucky enough to spend in Paris has never been enough. This gallery is testimony of that. I need to go back armed with at least a week and lots of memory cards, for there is inspiration around every corner and in the Architecture of many buildings. Here I’ve photographed the Eiffel Tower in the year that France celebrated their six month presidency of the European Union. They marked this even with many many things, not least of all adding  yellow stars to the Eiffel Tower in celebration.

London

London is a hive of activity on most days, and when I’ve visited I have always had a fantastic chance to take photographs. I spent some time on the South Bank of the Thames photographing people, and actually for the most part found this much for exciting than photographing the typical landmarks. (Although it’s always great to visit them too!) This particular area is famous for street artists, performers and in general different people. I also went to Camden Market and would suggest that anyone into the quirky and definitely not mundane should visit here.

Bristol

Visiting Bristol in recent years has always proven inspiring in terms of Photography. The Architecture and general feel of the city is something that is often very difficult to do justice on camera. In particular The Clifton Suspension Bridge in particular is a must-see aspect of Bristol. It spans the Avon Gorge – a foreboding stretch of water with incredibly wide banks. The bridge was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel in the 1800s whose plans succeeded over many other competitors in being chosen in particular for the Egyptian influenced towers at either end of each Bridge.
